Our Environment

At The Compass Church, we LOVE kids! We've designed a fun, engaging, and faith-forming environment just for them! Children, Infants-5th Grade, will experience God's truth and love in our services every weekend. We want kids to be so excited about the lessons and friendships here that they actually drag you to church!

All of our classrooms teach the Bible in creative ways so children can clearly see God's big plan of redemption through every story. Everything we do is intended to help your child’s faith grow. We use top-rated curriculum from a variety of publishers. Each Campus chooses the scope and sequence of their lessons, but all lessons are designed to immerse children in the foundations of the Christian faith.

The safety of your children is our top priority. We are committed to making every classroom safe and secure in order for all children to feel free to have fun, make friends, and grow in their faith.

All CompassKids volunteers go through a thorough screening process and are required to clearly display their badge when volunteering in our program. All volunteers are required to complete the following before they are able to serve with CompassKids:

  • State background check.
  • Two approved reference checks.
  • Volunteer training on our mission, vision, and values, as well as our policies and procedures.
  • Read through our CompassKids Team Member Handbook and sign a covenant agreeing to follow all guidelines and expectations.
  • Read through our Protection Training Manual and sign a covenant agreeing to abide by all safety policies.

In addition to our screening process, we strictly enforce our Never Alone Policy. No one in our ministry is ever alone with children. We have video cameras installed in our classrooms so that we can keep eyes on your children at all times. You can rest assured that your children are safe in our care!

Our volunteer team realizes that they are expected to be a good role model for all children. The goal is to develop healthy friendships where children see a living example of someone who teaches them about Jesus and also is living out the Christian faith.
