Warmly greet and check in all volunteers & Guests using our automated check-in system at two different check-in areas at two different times. Work in advance of Friday evening to preprint Guest name tags and place into lanyards. Be prepared to spend part of the evening outdoors as you check in Guests curbside at their cars. Be familiar with the flow of the event in order to direct volunteers, Guests, and parents/caregivers of Guests. Greet Guests as you take their coats, label and hang them. Retrieve Guest coats at the end of the evening. In addition, manage the coat check system for all volunteers. Serve as a one-on-one friend for a Guest and help your Guest “light up the night”! You will be randomly paired with a Guest on the evening of the event and accompany him/her through each station: Red Carpet, Photo Booth, Dinner, Dance, etc. At the end of the night, you will re-unite your Guest with his/her parents/caregiver. Must attend training on Tues, Jan 18 @ 7-9p and have a current (2 years or less) volunteer application and background check on file. Must be age 16 or older to serve.
Unload, set up and distribute dinner to volunteers. Be knowledgeable about the items being served (especially if there are dietary restrictions or allergies) and how to keep food at the proper temperatures. Light up a Guest’s night as you welcome, assist, and cheer each person as they make their way down the red carpet. Work collaboratively with the Guest Check-In Team to coordinate the flow of Guests from curbside check-in to Red Carpet. Must attend training on Tues, Jan 18 @ 7-9p. Take down decorations, tables, chairs, etc. and clean up the event space and reset for weekend ministry. Must attend training on Tues, Jan 18 @ 7-9p and have a current (2 years or less) volunteer application and background check on file. Must be age 16 or older to serve.
Be on hand in all main event space areas to assist anywhere an extra hand is needed. Be sure Buddy/Guest pairs are maintaining social distance as they move through the various stations. Be prepared to assist Buddies where needed with Guests. Must attend training on Tues, Jan 26 @ 7-9p and have a current (2 years or less) volunteer application and background check on file. Must be age 16 or older to serve.

Assist the Décor/Ambiance Squad Leader to ensure proper room set-up then decorate each room according to plan. Lifting, standing, walking and possibly using a ladder are part of this team’s role. Time 9:00am to 4:00pm.
Coordinate the pick up and drop off of honored guests with Limo drivers and Red Carpet Team Leader. Assist honored guests into the Limo after hair, make-up, and shoe shine. Then help them out onto the Red Carpet. Time 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Greet buddies, give them their lanyards, and direct them to their team leader for a pre-event meeting to ensure their assigned honored guest has the best prom experience possible. Time 3:30pm - 11:00pm
Prep food items, set up and serve food to volunteers in volunteer meeting room as well as the buddy meeting room. Spread joy to the volunteers; refresh food and drink throughout the evening; keep tables cleared and tidy; wash all serving trays and utensils and return all serving items to their original location. Time 3:00pm - 10:00pm
Assist photographers with posing honored guests, downloading, and printing photos. Time 4:00pm - 11:00pm
Warmly greet guests and their parent/caregiver; sign in guests, give them their name tag and answer any questions they may have. Show parent/caregiver to the Respite Room. Time 4:00pm - 11:00pm
Assist florist with unloading and properly laying out corsages and boutonnieres. Help guests select and pin on their flowers after they are done with hair, makeup, and/or shoe shine. Time 4:00pm - 11:00pm
Assist set-up team with the salon area. Welcome each guest to a shoe-shine station. Chat with the guests while you pamper and make them feel special. Time 4:00pm - 11:00pm

Create a special space for parents and caregivers of our honored guests to come, relax and be pampered a little. We're looking for 1 licensed massage therapist, and an essential oils person to do a demo & give samples. Time 4:00pm - 11:00pm

SLPs, OTs/PTs. LBS1, & Behavior Specialists who would be available to assist with behaviors that may be difficult to understand or manage, as well as communication challenges. Time 4:00pm - 11:00pm
Take professional-quality photographs at each designated station: Red Carpet, Crowning, Photo Booth, and Lighted Hallway. Treat Guests like the VIPs that they are. We ask that paparazzi volunteers be professional photographers. Must attend training on Tues, Jan 26 @ 7-9p and have a current (2 years or less) volunteer application and background check on file.
